Liberator

In this section we will briefly cover how to use Liberator and what it does.


What is Liberator?

Liberator is a tool that allows you to unlock all cosmetics and play game modes in Year 1 Season 1 up to Year 4 Season 4.
In addition to that it also allows you to play the Terrorist Hunt game mode either as a single player or as a team.

Note: The only place where you can find Liberator is on the official Operation Throwback Discord server.
In case you find Liberator somewhere else, please DO NOT use it as we can not guarantee that it is save to use.


How to Use Liberator

Unlock all cosmetics:

To use Liberator, you will need to download it from the Operation Throwback Discord server.
Once you have done it you can simply move it to your game folder so that windows defender will not block it.
After that, you can run the Liberator.exe file and it will open up the Liberator menu.
Once you done that start the game and you will be able to use all of the features that Liberator has to offer.


Play game modes:

To play game modes, you will need to run the Liberator.exe file and then create a local custom game.
After that you can select the game mode you want to play by double clicking on the game mode you want to play.
Once you have done that, make sure you are on the blue team and then start the game.
You will automatically be put into the game mode you selected.


Question: Windows Defender is blocking the Liberator.exe file?

Answer:

This is a common issue with Windows Defender.
To fix this, you will need to temporarily disable Windows Defender or directly download it to your excluded game folder.
In case your browser is blocking the download, you can also temporarily disable the browser protection and download it from the official Operation Throwback Discord server.

Note: Make sure to re-enable Windows Defender and your browser protection after downloading the Liberator.exe file.

Question: Liberator is crashing the game?

Answer:

Incase the game is crashing when you are using Liberator, make sure to start Liberator before the game.
If the game is still crashing, make sure that your game is fully closed via the task manager.

Question: It says my build is unsupported?

Answer:

This means that you are using a different build version than the one that Liberator supports.
To check what build version are supported simply open the about tab in the Liberator menu.

Question: The game crashes when I try to play a game mode with other players?

Answer:

To fix this create a local custom game and let the other players join your game.
Only after that you can select the game mode you want to play.
Also make sure that everyone is on the blue team.

Question: Is there a Liberator for newer game versions?

Answer:

There is only one Liberator version available that supports a newer game versions.
This version is called LiberatorV2 and is available in the Renegades Discord server.
But it only supports the game version Shadow Legacy and doesn't work in any other game version.
Besides that, there are no other Liberator versions available for newer game versions.

Note: LiberatorV2 is not officialy from the Operation Throwback team and as such not supported by us.
